Handcrafted 18th century China Hotei Buddha statue from personal collection of a US Diplomat. This was gifted to the Diplomat back in the early 80's from a Hong Kong based museum and remained in her possession until the estate was auctioned off about 10 years ago. The wax marking on the back was placed there from the museum for inventory/tracking purposes. Very beautiful and naturally patina'd sculpture.
